Quilts and more Quilts!

Make more quilts!  easy to read if you stand back from it!

This is more of the modern quilt show in Savannah.  They were really great and very different.

Love the lines on this!

I love the colors of this one.  It's morse code.

This one is cool.  Love the one colored stripe in there.

Lots of black and white quilts there.

Simple is the way of modern.

This is the alphabet for braile.

Very 3d.

No rules!

Macro to micro designs.

Nice colors.  You just have to enjoy the changes that modern is bringing to quilts.

These quilts were made by modern guilds.  They are on display and will go back to the guild that made each one.  Then the quilts will be used for charity.

Others that were on display in the front hall.

Some looked very traditional,

Others looked very modern.

Gives you plenty of ideas!

Love the use of shapes and colors.

This one was done by the Knoxville guild.

A sign that was up in one booth!  Love the graffidy look....

Then we went to Joes Crab Shack and had dinner!

Some pictures turned out better than others.

And the flash helped!

Cindy ordered crabs, so we all got bibs!

And the shark bite drink did in Marian.

Darlene and I went to the beach on Saturday and saw the light house museum.

She had been a librarian for 31 years... so this box was very interesting to her.  There were 412 light houses, and a box for each one.  They would be rotated once a month, so there were new books to read.

This was from on top of the fort.  There's the walk way over the dune to the beach.  Nice Day!!!

And there was another library box by the beach!  So you could get a book to read on the beach, and put it back or bring another to put in it.  Very cool.

And then there was a Mardi Gras parade that lasted a whole 15 minutes!  It was fun!  And I got some beads!!!

Dune buggies were great!

The roller derby girls were great!

Love the tutu!!!
So trips are a must!  Go and find the fun!  Bring back beads and fabrics.
And IDEAS.  Then make time to create.  That's what life is really about!
