For Sale!!! Lots of good things!

I'm going to be at the ONE DAY ONLY holiday sale at the Art Center in Oak Ridge, TN on November 12th!  These are some of the things that I will have there for sale!

Small bags with cats on them! There are larger bags also that are packed and ready to go!

Here's one bag with many pockets inside...

and this is the other side of the bag.

Small quilt, "Eat my Dust".  Supposed to be a tire track across the road!

In one corner, I stenciled in the lizard.  All hand quilted!

Dissappearing 9 Patch background with large daisies!

All hand quilted!

This is one that I started years ago, and finished recently.  Again, all these quilts are hand quilted.

I have been making modern designs for years!

This is the 9 Patch Pizzazza style of designing with large prints.  I used  panels that have the cats on them.

Cute cats!

A great baby quilt with the bright colors!

And quilted, and has the koi fish in some blocks.

All circles!

Each block different colors.

4 patch background, with daisies appliqued on this.

The "Log Cowbin" quilt!

And quilted!

This is a double bed quilt.  I bought the top in an antique store!  It was just sitting there, and I knew I had to finish it.  So I designed the quilting to fit in the spaces.

I love the feather design on the older quilts.

The colors are from the 20's?  Not sure if it's from the 20's to the 40's.

Another picture of the quilting.

These are some of the bowl koosies that are going to the sale.

More koosies....

and a few others...

and a couple more.  They are reversible, and can be machine washed.

cat bags are going!

And here's my practice set up for the back of the booth.  I can't bring too many large quilts, so I'm hoping the small items sell well.
This is a great place to buy presents for Christmas time.  There are so many wonderful artists there.  Pottery, paintings, photography, soap makers, doll makers... and many others.  The place is always busy, it's one day only!
Ok, I should be out clearing out the garden beds.... nay.  I'm going to quilt once I get done here.  Maybe tomorrow for outside..... maybe not!
I have priorities!

What ya doing?

I have been making stockings for quilters!  They will be exchanged in the December meeting.  Just having a blast coming up with ideas!

This is a coverlet that I bought up in NH.  I have quilted it, and it's for the couch downstairs.  It reminded me of the Beatles yellow submarine!  I just had to have it and quilt it up.  Too cute!
I have been looking for the pictures I took on my phone last Saturday at the quilt show in Tellico Village.  Great show put on by a wonderful guild.  That's not the problem.  The problem is with me and technology.  Somewhere there is a "cloud" that has my pictures!  I thought I had gotten them down loaded into the computer before me... but they are either not here, or hiding in a file somewhere.... It pisses me off to no  end to have to figure these things out.  Instead I could be threading a needle and enjoying my time.
So I will hunt for the pictures some other day.  I have had enough frustrations in the last couple of weeks, and the computer can go out with the trash as far as I'm concerned.  My hubby had surgery.  And it is mentally hard for both of us, and he's got the physical crap to handle.  (can you tell I have had enough!)  I'm not a nurse.  And they just sent him home after one night in the hospital.  So things happen that neither of us expect or know about.
It's better now or I wouldn't be writing.  Life just keeps coming at you and it's got to be handled.  So the two of us will get through this.  Thank god for quilting and shows and my quilting buddies.  It all keeps my head on straight.
Now we are slowly making plans for the future.  He has retired and I want to see parts of the world!  The house has been worked on, and is ready for the rest of our life.  I have enough fabric to last the rest of mine.  So lets get on with what's out there!
Don't skip dessert!
Get together with friends all the time!
Cut up your fabrics and play with them!
Hugs all around!

Eye Candy!

The Asheville quilt show was great!!!  More than 400 quilts and better vendors than the AQS show in Chattanooga.  I love this show!

Most quilts I haven't seen before.  Which is wonderful.  Some shows you travel too, it's just the same quilts over and over again.  Not this show!

Beautiful designs that are very different.

Most are machine quilted... but 2 out of 3 that took best awards, were hand quilted.

Stunning quilts.

Bright quilts!

Simple ones that were very interesting.

Grouchy lady bugs!

And black with brights that was fun!

There was another blue flamingo in the show besides mine.  this is all a leaf one.  Just wonderful.

Then there were several for sale through the guild's shop that was in the middle of the show.  This was super!  If I had all the money in the world, I would have gotten this one as well as about 10 others...

This woman, Diane Ramsey, did a talk on improvisational quilting.

Her's are great!  So I can see sitting down and trying out her technique.

Modern quilts were there and were great.

This is huge!  And I love the movement in it as well as the colors.

I think this was the best use of patterned fabrics.

"That's no moon..."

city scapes!

Lots of quilts with circles, which I'm into right now.

All mini hexes!  So well done!

Hand appliques hexes about 1" or smaller... with a splash of color in there...

Simple is great also!  This is a wonderful idea, that can be expanded to many shapes.

This was radiant!  The picture doesn't do it justice at all...
Ok, I'm jazzed up to start so many new quilt ideas... trouble is, like most quilters, so many projects already piled high on the table!  But that's ok.  I'll get them started so I don't forget about them.
Keep going to shows.  Listen at the lectures.  Get books and fabrics!  I hear how so many women want to get rid of some things... why?  you spent so much time and money collecting these things!  Enjoy them.  Stamp collectors are never going to use the stamps.  So hold onto those fun things!
